Plotsole
We decided to name our project application PlotSole. We came up with this idea by manipulating the original meaning of ‘plot hole’. The word plot hole has a meaning of: ‘a gap or inconsistency in a storyline’. We expanded on the meaning of this by stating that we felt like the love that people had for their trainers in society today was slowly dying out. Today people go through plenty of trainers like its nothing, but we want to create another level of love for trainers by allowing people to create and design their perfect style. Therefore the plot hole would be the ‘missing love’ that people have for trainers and the storyline is what we would state as society today. From that we came to the conclusion that PlotSole would be the brand name for us.
The theme of our project is allowing users to digitally design a 3D shoe model of their choice. Our main purpose is based on the fact that young people of this day and age like to be their own persona and very unique. We want our users to specifically explore different materials and textures that we will provide them with on our digital application, giving them the freedom to pick and chose what material, pattern, texture or colour they would want on the popular shoe of their choice. We would be providing our users with pre made prototypes and samples of popular trainers, allowing them to pick a shoe of their choice and then for them to go on to customise it to their acquired taste. We want to reinforce the connection between people and the love that they have for their trainers.
